About GOLF4GENS

GOLF4GENS – GOLF for GENERATIONS, focusing on establishing a trans-European, cross-sectoral network that brings together golf clubs, environmental experts, educators, and communities to co-create a state-of-the-art EU future-oriented model for environmental, social, and economic sustainability in grassroots golf and outdoor sports. The project focuses on:

fostering knowledge-sharing between youth, coaches, and senior mentors.
supporting participants with micro-credentials, training, and certifications for career development.
aligning golf management and coaching with CE principles, biodiversity conservation, and NbS.
equipping participants with green skills and qualifications for future career adaptability.

Transform grassroots golf into a platform for sustainability and social inclusion

Use golf as a vehicle for environmental awareness, circular practices, and community engagement across Europe.

Build a Digital Multi-Actor Platform (MAP)

Establish a virtual knowledge hub to support collaboration, resource sharing, and dissemination of circular economy and nature-based solutions in grassroots golf.

Develop and implement the GOLFBRIDGE model

Create a future-focused model integrating STEM education, digital gamification, and sustainability-driven training in grassroots golf.

Promote inclusion and access in underserved communities

Pilot activities in underserved regions to expand access to sport and environmental education for wider communities.

Strengthen green and digital skills through sport

Equip participants with sustainability competencies, digital learning experiences, and practical knowledge relevant to the green and digital transitions.

Foster intergenerational learning and European collaboration

Bring together golf federations, research institutions, schools, and local communities to co-create a greener and more inclusive sporting future.

Role of EPBS in GOLF4GENS

Project Coordinator

EPBS is the coordinator of GOLF4GENS and leads the consortium’s overall implementation and management.

Management and Communication Oversight

The coordinating role includes communication with EACEA, internal information sharing, and the use of Google Workspace for project management, administrative controls, review procedures, and subcontracting management.

Monitoring and Evaluation Leadership

The coordinator is responsible for putting in place a monitoring and evaluation plan with verifiable indicators agreed by project partners.

Transnational Coordination

The project includes five transnational project management meetings, with representatives from all partner organisations participating at key stages of implementation.
