About GOLF4CIRCULARITY

GOLF 4 CIRCULARITY general project objective is to set up a cross-sectoral trans-European network of seven key organisations in sports and education (science) sectors to elaborate, pilot, evaluate and disseminate a totally innovative sustainable circular economy golf-educational model at the European grassroots golf club level to advance on circular awareness and understanding and build sustainable behaviour in grassroots clubs, coaches, club managers and golf players 14-19 aged living in 20 EU communities including 2 EU remote (backward) communities.

1. European Network

Establish a cross-sectoral European network linking sports organisations, universities and circular economy experts to co-create an innovative circular economy golf education model.

2. Grassroots Sustainability

Promote sustainability and circular economy awareness in grassroots golf clubs by supporting skills development, quality coaching and the dual careers of young players and volunteer coaches.

3. Educational Innovation

Develop and pilot a pioneering sports-educational model that integrates sustainability, personal development and social responsibility into everyday golf training and club culture.

4. Organisational Empowerment

Strengthen the role of grassroots golf organisations in advancing green policies by raising literacy and skills in circular economy and sustainability in line with the European Green Deal.

5. STEM Coaching

Introduce a new STEM-based golf coaching method to enhance scientific and technological understanding among players aged 14–19, coaches and club staff.

6. Learning Tools

Deliver innovative learning tools and activities including a Virtual Community of Practice, blended learning programme (Circular Golf Minds), multimedia sustainability toolbox, Ecological Golf Footprint game, skills-validation events and community sports outreach.

Role of EPBS in GOLF4CIRCULARITY

Digital Learning Design

EPBS develops the project’s online learning experience, shaping interactive modules and content that make the Circular Golf Minds programme easy to follow and engaging for all learners.

Research and Model Development

EPBS leads the conceptual and analytical groundwork behind the Golf4Circularity model, combining circular economy research with educational design to support the project’s overall structure.

Virtual Community Support

EPBS contributes to the creation and operation of the Virtual Community of Practice, helping coaches, players and club staff exchange ideas, share insights and collaborate throughout the project.

Educational Content Creation

EPBS prepares high quality instructional material for courses, workshops and digital tools, ensuring that sustainability, circular economy and STEM concepts are clearly explained and accessible.
